The remote Video Referee

The KNVB (Royal Dutch Soccer Union) was very progressive in staring the Video Referee project. While using mini-vans with referees and technology standing next to the venues Leonard suggested to perform these services from 1 central point for all matches. For many various reasons (logistics, security, costs, physical well-being, image) the remote Video Referee has been a real innovation where the KNVB experienced the advantages. Apart from the big international attention for this project, it also helped to launch their campus as an innovative experience center. From the campus the KNVB conducts the Video Referee services and also uses this center for international training purposes.
